    Green Bay vs NY Giants

The Giants are looking more and more like a team of destiny. They are simply defying all odds, here’s a small list:

    • Win after a loss to New England
    • Defeat the #1 seed in the NFC
    • 9 road wins in a row
    • Eli Manning putting together 3 Peyton-like performances in a row

In addition to that, they have a new set of odds to defy for this weekends championship game: The 5 seed rarely ever makes it here let alone advances.

The Giants also have not been good in cold and they are 3-0 (odds of 4 in a row very slim) in the NFC championship game under the current playoff format. But obviously they don’t care and if they do pull off an upset on Sunday, I think they win the Super Bowl. We all saw the final regular season game, they don’t just think they can beat New England, they KNOW they can beat them. But that’s a big if.

I think Green Bay wins for the same reasons as last week, the legendary home field advantage, the legendary quarterback, the solid overall play and once again the secondary will be too strong. New York needs to run the ball. You can’t run the ball if there’s 8 or 9 in the box, and if you can’t throw, then there will be 8 or 9 in the box. Eli won’t be able to throw on the Packer secondary and thus the offense becomes one dimensional. Eli will then press and make mistakes. Meanwhile, Brett goes up and down the field just like last week, except last week’s excitement is now gone and that means no easy points off turnovers. The Packers are favored by only a touchdown and the total is 41 so its time to do the A & A. Packers 24 Giants 17 isn’t quite right. The Packers need to be adjusted past 30 again. End of the road for the Giants. Packers 35 Giants 17
