Championship Round Wrapup
Average again. I was 1 – 1 straight up and 1-1 versus the spread.HighlightsI had the AFC game almost exactly correct. San Diego hung around and made it a game but at no point did anyone really believe that the Bolts could actually win.LowlightsThe entire NFC game. I had thought the Packer corners would be the strength that would turn the game, instead they turned out to be the biggest weakness. Plaxico Burress threw them both around and made life easy for Eli. Amani Toomer would also have had a big day were he able to actually catch the ball when it was thrown to him. I said that Brett Favre was done throwing interceptions and he turned out to throw one at exactly the worst possible time. I should have known better about that, that’s just what he does, always has and probably always will. I bet if you poke around the web you could probably find footage of him throwing a couple picks during the filming of those jeans commercials he does.Anyway, the Super Bowl is coming up and as unlikely as this matchup was at the beginning of the playoffs, I am excited about it. Look for the first of two Super Bowl preview articles early this weekend.
